Dans une maison jaune au cœur de Strasbourg, des gens venus de tous les coins du monde livrent par bribes leur espoir de trouver un refuge suite aux persécutions qui les ont fait basculer dans l'exil. Progressivement, une autre violence va se superposer à la violence passée : celle qu'on leur fait subir, ici, chez nous...

Ce film interroge l'état d'une société criminalisant ceux qui cherchent la sécurité et notre protection. Il montre aussi le combat mené au quotidien par les citoyens qui sont les témoins, plus ou moins impuissants, de leur désespérance.
