The Tale Of The Bushmen
a film by Pierre Mann, 64'Filming in Botswana and Namibia, Pierre Mann is part of the tradition of ethnographic documentary by Jean Rouch.
It describes a people who embody the humanity of our origins, men who continue to hunt with bows. He filmed their run-ins with the leopard and the lion and their encounter with the elephant. He witnessed the extraordinary phenomena of shamanic trances and healing rites. It was conquered by this people of hunter-gatherers, magnificent in their humanity, incapable of living anywhere but in the Kalahari.
